Hello, my name is Konosuke. If you hang out in the chat rooms frequently, or are in jail a lot, then you've most likely seen me. Anyways, moving along. This IS my first guide, so please don't judge me TOO harshly.
=About Dominus-Co=
I find Dominus one of the best CO pservers active right now because it isn't the usual "Hey, let's all crowd at pheasants hunting for db's finding one every 10 min if we're lucky!" private server. This one actually has some creativity and uniqueness, which makes it amazing in my book. +1 for Marius. xD. Dominus has a very good exp and drop rate. You can get to 130 2nd rb with full +12 -7 easily in a day. Now for all you beginners reading this guide before playing, you might be wondering: "If we don't get CP's or db's from pheasants, how DO we get CP's? What makes it so fast to get those kinda gears without CP or DB drops from pheasants/TD's?" I can answer this in one simple word that every economy is built upon: MONEY. The money drop rate is EXTREMELY high in here. Okay, without further ado, let's get this guide started!
=Starting Guide=
Once you go to the website, you'll see a few links. One downloads the client, one downloads the Server.dat, and one registers an account. Download the client and the Server.dat, and register an account. [Obviously]. Once you have both things downloaded, make a new folder and extract the Dominus files to it. Once that's done, place the downloaded Server.dat in the Dominus folder and replace the old one. Now that you've done that, you're ready to play! Open the play.exe file and click either High Definition or Standard. I've yet to see a difference, but just click one. Okay, you've gotten to the patching screen now. Once it sits there patching for a while, a screen will pop up giving you 3 options: Retry, Manual Patch, and Bypass. ALWAYS click Bypass on this screen. Now log in with the account you made on the home page.
Okay, so you log into Dominus for the first time, and are making your char. What do you pick? The truth is, you can pick whatever you want! You don't need to pick archers just because they level fast. Any character can level VERY fast in here. As for the BEST character, people usually start off as a Water Taoist or a Trojan. Just pick whatever class you like the most.
Great, you made your character! Now what do you do? If this is your first character, you'll most likely want what everyone else wants when they just start. You want either levels or money and equips! I'll split this up to make it less confusing.
=CP and Money guide!=
Okay, walk south of Twin City and down the bridge to the area where you see a few NPC's named Conductress and TCCaptain, and most likely a few 130's standing around. Why are those 130's there? Simple. They want apprentices! You level so fast in this game, that by the time you get 130 2nd rb, they'll have enough mentor experience to get the exp of over 100 exp balls, which will level them 1-2 times. Accept becoming an apprentice if you want, it's not really a big deal besides sharing Potency for that short time they're still on. Okay, now that you're at pheasants, there might be some gold on the floor. Go around picking that up until you have about 20m in your inventory, then click the Conductress and go to Market. Once in Market, go straight right to MysticMerchant. Click her and buy 1-2 Dragonballs, then talk to the CPAdmin a bit to the north. Trade your Dragonballs for 215 CP's. Yay, you now have CP's! Once you have that, go Northeast to LadyLuck. Click her and enter the lottery. Here, you'll see a lot of boxes of different colors. It doesn't matter what box you choose, just click one. After you've clicked one, you'll recieve a random price. Most likely you'll get a +8 stone or a db scroll, but there ARE other items. Your goal at this level is to get one DB scroll. Once you get that, you're set for life. Keep repeating this until you get a db scroll, then go back to the CPAdmin. Trade your db scrolls for 2150 CP's. Holy cow! You've now discovered a system to get CP's that you'll need to know for the rest of the game [Or at least until you get all the gears you want].
As for getting money, you've already done it. To get money in this game, you either right click moneybags you get from the Lottery or loot them from monsters.
=Leveling Guide=
Okay, you've got some money and CP's and are ready to work on your equips. Keep in mind, you'll need somewhere around 100-200k CP's to get your gears perfect, but you won't need perfect gears right at the very start.
Okay, once you've started, hit a few pheasants until you're about level 5. You now have XP skills. Once you have those XP skills, you have 2 options here. 1) You can click Shopping Mall in the bottom left of your screen and go to the last section and buy a Bird Island Scroll. 2) Talk to the Conductress standing by the other NPC's and click Bird Island. I reccomend the scroll thing, just considering it gets you to a safer spot faster. Now, it's time to get some serious leveling in!
You don't have to do this, it's just a suggestion. Sit in BI until you're close to your XP bar full [The little yellow circle around your HP and MP thing.] Once it's almost full, start to head out through the south exit. Why the south you say? There's less people standing there, so there'll be more monsters close to the gate. Once your XP skill is activated, let loose and attack! Keep doing this until you're either level 40 or 70. If you're leveling very fast and still have your XP skill, keep it going until it runs out. Your target goal at this time is level 70-90.
Once you get to level 70-90ish, buy a scroll from the Shopping Mall button to go to Desert City. Once there, go northwest a bit and talk to MoonGoddess. Pick your job and get a weapon pack, drop what you don't need. It's just a waste of space. Equip your new gears and buy a scroll to Twin City.
Once you're back in Twin City, go south to the bridge [Not over it though], and then go left until you reach a house with a sign on the top and to the right. The top sign will have a military-looking person, the right sign will have some chinese writing on it. Enter the building via the portal. Once inside, go left and then keep going up and around until you find your job instructor. Get promoted as much as you can.
Here's what you need for promotions:
Level 15 promotion: Nothing
Level 40 promotion: Nothing [Unless you're an archer. Archers need 5 Euxunite Ores from the Twin City Mine. You can go there via Twin City Conductress. Credit to Proto for this.]
Level 70 promotion: Emerald [Can be obtained via lotto or Desert City HillMonsters]
Level 100 promotion: 1 Meteor [Can be obtained via Shopping Mall]
Level 110 promotion: 1 Moonbox [Can be obtained via quest or from other players. See
Moon Box Guide for more detail's.]
Once you have your 15-70 promotions, go back to Bird Island, but this time, go Northeast in the city up to a portal. This portal takes you to monsters called HawKings. Hunt here until you're level 100.
